What I see now is a steady move toward the bygone era of “might is right” and the obscene displays of double standards in favor of myopic interests , especially by the ones who have presented themselves as custodians of the Rule of Law
As someone who has spent his entire career in politics , an international lawyer, and a human being who cares deeply about peace and human dignity and the legacy we’re going to leave to our grandchildren , I am heart broken to witness the vicious destruction of all the rules on the non use of force that were put in place over many decades and through many wars to try, in the language of the #UN Charter, to “save succeeding generations from the scourge of war” …
What I see now is a steady move toward the bygone era of “might is right” and the obscene displays of double standards in favor of myopic interests , especially by the ones who have presented themselves as custodians of the Rule of Law
All I can do is to remind those “small” men and women that they might win a battle or two but that humanity will eventually lose the war!
