War crimes are only crimes when committed by the powerless.
When the weak fight back, they are called terrorists.
When the strong slaughter civilians, it is called foreign policy.
When a poor nation resists occupation, it is condemned as barbaric.
But when a rich nation bombs a hospital, it is labeled a "regrettable necessity."
A Palestinian child throwing a stone is a threat to "order."
An Israeli F-16 dropping U.S.-made bombs on an apartment block is a "military operation."
A Yemeni militia resisting foreign invasion is labeled "extremist."
But the Saudi jet that turns weddings into funerals? That’s a "precision strike."
When the West arms its allies, it is called security cooperation.
When the oppressed receive help, it is called provocation.
When the empire bombs from the sky, it is humanitarian intervention.
When the occupied fight back, it is savagery.
The International Criminal Court can indict an African warlord or a Balkan general.
But the men who ordered the bombing of Iraq, the starvation of Yemen, the dismemberment of Libya, and the siege of Gaza walk free.
They smile on screens.
They write memoirs.
They lecture the world about law and order.
This is not justice.
This is performance.
A spectacle where the prosecutor serves the criminal, and the verdict is known before the trial begins.
War crimes are not judged by the act itself.
They are judged by the flag behind the missile.
That is why a single rocket fired by the besieged becomes headlines news,
While entire cities reduced to ash by empire vanish into silence.
The law does not restrain the powerful.
It is used to punish those who disobey them.
So remember this:
The world will never be ruled by law until no nation is above it.
And war crimes will never end until the greatest criminals stop writing the rules.
