noted, Trump used similar tactics to assassinate Iranian General Qasem Soleimani in 2020, when he convinced then-Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi to "mediate" the US-Iran conflict as a way to lure Soleimani to Baghdad, in order to kill him in a US drone strike.
