Israel possesses nuclear weapons which it refuses to open to inspections, it is carrying out a genocide under a system of apartheid, it is occupying territory in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, has been bombing Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, is murdering UN staff and destroying UN facilities, it carried out a transnational terror (pager) attack in Lebanon, and has committed assassinations across the region. It has now committed an act of aggression on Iran, is committing countless war crimes in the process, and has triggered Iran’s right to self-defense under the UN Charter.
What did the G7 say about this? “Israel has a right to defend itself…we reiterate our support for the security of Israel. … Iran is the principal source of regional instability and terror [and] Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.”
If the global South does not wake up from its slumber soon and confront this tyranny, they will come to regret their inaction. The choices are simple: imperialism or international law, colonialism or liberation, aggression or collective security, Zionism or equality, sovereignty or exploitation, permanent war or the imperative of peace.
