Just saw the ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” interview with Cindy McCain, executive director of the World Food Program. The interview started by asking her "Is there anything you can add about this incident this morning Hamas claiming 31 people were killed. GHF denied anything happened. Do you have any independent information?" Well, Mr. Stephanopoulos. First of all, it's not Hamas claiming or saying. It's people on the ground reporting on the murder of their loved ones and their own injuries. Why do you look for independent information when people themselves film and share on their own social media for over 19 months the dismembered and burnt bodies of their families minutes after it happens? Do you have the power to share videos and photos on your screens that Gazans post on a daily basis documenting these crimes? Can you invite people in Gaza to share their testimonies about these crimes against humanity? Or send ABC journalists to Gaza and cover all of this? You cannot. Because they want you and others to keep repeating THEIR CLAIMS for over 19 months. What Ms. McCain said was "Well, our people are reporting THE SAME THING on the ground. It's a TRAGEDY and what we need to do right now is an IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE, complete, unfettered access .... to feed people." Yes, this is a true human. While the journalist focused on whether there was "independent" information about a much reported on massacre, this woman who cares about human lives focused on the need to end all of this tragedy.
