They are also showing that they are by no means in panic mode. They have been preparing for this for many years, and they have Russia and China close by, and excellent land-based supply lines that Israel cannot harm, while Israel, on the other hand, is totally dependent on 1-2 international airports and 2 seaports. If those are severely damaged, the country is literally cut off from the world.
The US will soon face an existential dilemma: let Israel burn and save its economy and troops, or join the war and throw itself into chaos, as the country already roils over Trump's draconian extremism.
