BBC News never fails to astonish. Political editor Chris Mason interviewed Keir Starmer at the G7 summit today. Mason pressed Starmer to support Iranians overthrowing their government. Starmer wanted only to express his support for Israel's supposed right to "defend itself" (in a war it initiated). Neither, of course, addresses the elephant in the room: that Israel launched an illegal war of aggression on Iran.

As the 1945 Nuremberg tribunal ruled, this is the "supreme international crime" because its inevitable consequences are an accumulation of "evil".
Mason and Starmer want to parse which consequences they condone. But all they prove instead is how willing they are to collude in evil.
