Once again, a moral panic has been fomented by Israel lobbyists and their allies in the UK media over Gary Lineker. They want you to focus on a mouse/rat emoji in the post he shared that escaped his attention – not on the content of the video he wanted you to see of the great Palestinian lawyer Diana Buttu. Lineker has deleted the post. That isn't enough, of course. This is all about sending a message to any celebrities, politicians, journalists who consider raising their voices in solidarity with Palestinians, in the midst of a genocide by Israel, that there will be a heavy price to pay. It is a warning to keep quiet, to collude in that genocide. Take down Lineker and you can take down anyone. That is why he draws so much of the lobby's energy. Here is that video.
