The problem isn't Israel's "far-right", it's Israel's gov that sees a once in a lifetime chance to wipe Gaza off the face of the earth & finish what Ben Gurion started in 1948.
Netanyahu isn't afraid of his gov's collapse, he rather sees an opportunity to shape his legacy as the Israeli leader who expanded Israel's territory (into Syria, Lebanon, Gaza...) & reduced the Palestinian population on this land by two million.
Last time Netanyahu made a ceasefire deal, Ben Gvir left gov, but he deliberately didn't collapse the ruling coalition. Smotrich is likely to do the same if the war ends; a symbolic protest without going to another election b/c virtually all polls show Smotrich falling below the threshold necessary to re-enter parliament.
Even if the war ends, Israel will continue the genocide by a hundred other ways (e.g. banning construction materials, keeping borders closed for the return of Gazans who'd left, terrorizing more Gazans into leaving...)
