US Wants to Restructure China’s Economy (You read that right.)
Treasury Sec. Bessent: “We want to help China shift away from exports… Their model is unsustainable and hurting the world.”
Translation? Washington tried to crush China with tariffs. Failed.
Now they want to redesign China’s economy - through “dialogue,” “pressure,” and “partnership.”
Also Bessent: “The trade war is unsustainable… talks will happen below the level of Trump and Xi.”
Let’s be real - this isn’t cooperation. It’s coercion.
A soft reboot of regime change, dressed up as global stewardship.
Imagine thinking you can micromanage a 1.4B-person economy that just hit 5.3% GDP growth… from a country with $34T in debt and collapsing infrastructure.
Nice try, Uncle Sam. But this ain’t 1999 anymore.
