Translating Falasteen (Palestine)
(1/8) Using the sonogram from the New York Times video of the Israeli attack on rescue workers from the Palestinian Red Crescent and Civil Defense in Tal al-Sultan, Michael Kobs was able to distinguish multiple sound events based on frequency, timing, and intensity. For example, with sound traveling at approximately 340 m/s, the time difference between the bullet crack and the muzzle blast can be used to estimate the shooter’s distance from the recording device. His visual analysis also disproves the Israeli narrative about a rifle, showing that what was claimed to be a weapon was actually the shadow of a paramedic. In addition, filtered audio of the final seconds captures Israeli soldiers interacting with rescue workers, further dismantling claims that the medics were mistakenly targeted.https://x.com/translatingpal/status/1910369366832472420
