In his “Discourse on Colonialism”, Aime Cesaire observes that fascism is colonialism applied at home. We should therefore not be surprised at the creeping fascism in the U.S. (and some other Western countries) where rights are being trampled on behalf of the oppressive foreign regime of Israel and its colonial ideology, Zionism. This colonial ideology seeds fascism in our own country, as official institutions are corrupted by it, critical speech is criminalized, human rights defenders demonized, and police power mobilized to crush dissent. Democracy and human rights are under assault. The hour is late. Act.
