300 key Hamas members rejected a multi-billion dollar offer to leave Gaza and receive immunity
According to Mohamed Khayal, the editor-in-chief of Egyptian news outlet Al-Sharq, the offer presented to the Hamas movement stated that 2 billion dollars would be afforded to some 300 key members of the Palestinian faction, to be paid by Arab Gulf regimes. According to Khayal’s account, Hamas immediately rejected the offer and would not even consider it, even after being offered foreign citizenships and immunity from prosecution.
