Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons endure the worst forms of oppression and persecution, facing systematic torture, medical negligence, and inhumane treatment, often leading to their death. Since the beginning of 2025, six Palestinian prisoners have lost their lives due to these repressive policies. Prisoner Raafat Adnan Abu Fanouneh (33 years old) died in Ramla Prison on February 26, 2025, while prisoner Khaled Mahmoud Abdullah (41 years old) died in Megiddo Prison on February 23, 2025. Additionally, prisoner Ali Ashour Al-Batsh (61 years old) was died in Negev Prison on February 21, 2025, and prisoner Mohammed Yassin Khalil Jaber (only 22 years old) died in the same prison on January 19, 2025. Moreover, prisoner Moataz Mohammed Abu Zneid (35 years old) was killed on January 12, 2025, and prisoner Musab Hani Abu Haniyah on January 5, 2025.
These crimes expose the reality of the occupation and demand urgent international action to halt the violations against Palestinian prisoners, who are held in harsh conditions that violate the most basic human rights. This phase is considered the bloodiest in the history of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons since 1967.
