If you didn't know that, that's because almost every single UK media outlet ignored their testimony, including the Guardian website, which finally published Dr Mamode's account this weekend. As these medical personnel pointed out the time, given that they were among the very few neutral outside observers allowed into Gaza (foreign journalists were barred), that omission was astonishing. Dr Mamode himself finally broke through the wall of silence in mid-November, but only because he was invited to testify before a parliamentary committee. In other words, our supposedly free media has chosen to cover up Israel's all-too-obvious crimes against humanity. Why? Because the corporate media really serves the British establishment, and the British establishment was happy to support a genocide in Gaza – and will again, as soon as Netanyahu breaks the ceasefire.
