It failed because Albanese insists on speaking truth to power. But the thin veneer of democracy in Germany has been stripped away, as human rights defenders are systematically subjected to official smears, harassment, & efforts at silencing, all in defense of genocide & apartheid. Eight decades after WWII, German elites seem to still be addicted to repression, genocide & racism. #Shame
