No concern either for the message being sent to journalists – once again – that opposing a genocide will be very bad for their career.

Jonathan Cook
An Australian cricket journalist who lost his job has been told he was 'insensitive' in privately tweeting against Israel's genocide, and that his opposition to the slaughter of children in Gaza would make 'Jewish people in Melbourne feel unsafe'. His radio station said it had to 'acknowledge the fear that many families in our community feel right now' and terminating his job was the way they could 'respect that'. No concern, of course, expressed for Palestinians in Australia watching their relatives being butchered, or any acknowledgment of their fears, or how safe they feel living in a society where no respect is shown for their people's suffering. No concern either for the message being sent to journalists – once again – that opposing a genocide will be very bad for their career. More here: archive.ph/lv0Lg
