Lawyers for Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, who was kidnapped more then six weeks ago by the Israeli army when it destroyed the Kamal Adwan hospital he oversaw in north Gaza, have been able to visit him, according to his family. They report that he's been tortured and held in solitary confinement. Israel has not charged him. His health has significantly deteriorated because of the prison conditions and the fact that he's being gradually starved, receiving one small meal a day.
