Hamas leader Izzat al-Rishq:
We reject the statements of U.S. President Donald Trump, in which he called on our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip to leave their homeland under the pretext of reconstruction.
Trump’s statements are racist and a blatant attempt to liquidate our Palestinian cause and deny our legitimate national rights.
Our people in Gaza have thwarted plans for displacement and forced expulsion under bombardment for more than fifteen months. They are deeply rooted in their land and will not accept any schemes aimed at uprooting them from their homeland.
