Australia's PM says police have concluded that a spate of seemingly antisemitic attacks are most likely the work of 'criminals for hire' paid by 'overseas actors'. Which foreign actor could possibly have an interest in whipping up fear among Australian Jews that they are in danger in their home country and that they therefore need to support an overseas sanctuary at all costs, even if that cost is the slaughter and maiming of tens of thousands Palestinian children? Which foreign actor could possibly gain from inventing antisemitic attacks, and linking them to pro-Palestinian causes, in the midst of a 15-month assault on Gaza that the world's highest court has ruled is a 'plausible' genocide? Let's hope Australia's police can get to the bottom of these deeply mystifying events.
