I don't know why the world is not stirred to action by the sight of Palestinian lives and bodies getting shredded, burned alive, buried alive, dismembered, beheaded, starved, diseased, deprived, degraded, and tormented beyond anything any of us have ever witnessed.
I don't know why the world is not stirred to action by the destruction of our lands and all it contains of trees, soil, bugs, birds, wildlife, pets, flowers, water.
I don't know why the world is not stirred to action by a terrifying sadism that grips nearly the totality of Israeli society and their backers globally.
Maybe it's because there has been decades of purposeful conditioning through mass media and Hollywood to hate, dismiss, or trivialize Palestinians.
Maybe the world is stirred but what we see is only what a small minority allow us to see.
Whatever the reasons, it is Palestinians, and only Palestinians, who hold the moral authority of this hour, and more specifically, it belongs to the Palestinian fighting, enduring, surviving, or dying in our homeland.
