North Korea Says US Shouldn’t Try Their Patience on Diplomacy
Officials say US must come up with a new approach 'before it is too late'

With no progress being made in talks between the US in North Korea since the failed Hanoi Summit, North Korea is warning that deals reached at last year’s summit could also be at risk if the US doesn’t start coming up with a new effort to resume talks.
The statement cautions that the US must abandon its demands for unilateral North Korean disarmament “before it is too late,” and that if the US continues to test North Korean patience, the joint Singapore declaration would end up a “mere blank sheet of paper.”
North Korea has been calling for a new US approach for months, but so far the signs are that there will be no change. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has insisted that the US will hold North Korea to commitments to unilaterally disarm,
There appear to have been deals to be had during the Hanoi Summit, but when they got close, US officials, notably Mike Pompeo and John Bolton, started adding conditions and convinced Trump to walk away.
