Sh#t Hits Fan: Trump Fires Acting Attorney General For Having A Backbone
by
Pitchfork time at the White House, still
The TrumpenFührer is marching on. He just fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates for saying the Justice Department would not defend his insane immigration order - aka for standing up for the Constitution, not the raving sociopath now shredding it. The bizarre, hand-delivered letter announcing the firing - whose authorship is clear from the 4th grade vocabulary - charged Yates "betrayed" the DOJ and is "weak" on borders. A spineless replacement has already been named: Virginia U.S. Attorney Dana Boente was evidently not next in line, but is evidently adept at goose-stepping. A furious DNC responded that Trump can "try to silence heroic patriots" like Yates - whose Wikipedia entry was swiftly updated by a supporter - but "he cannot silence the growing voices of an American people now wide awake to his tyrannical presidency. TIME's Zeke Miller was more succinct: "Wow. Wow. Wow."
