Trump won’t last four years before being impeached or resigning - Michael Moore
Michael Moore has predicted president-elect Donald Trump won’t make it to the end of his first term in the White House. The documentary film-maker believes Trump will either resign or be impeached before then.
Moore, who correctly called Trump’s victory in the general election, says the US electorate won’t “have to suffer through four years” of a Trump presidency as “he has no ideology except the ideology of Donald J. Trump.”
"When you have a narcissist like that, who’s so narcissistic where it’s all about him, he will, maybe unintentionally, break laws. He will break laws because he’s only thinking about what’s best for him,” Moore told MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ on Friday.
Moore admitted after the interview the 7 minute segment was extended to 45 minutes, with host Joe Scarborough skipping five ad breaks to continue the conversation.
“He is racist, he is misogynist. He is an authoritarian,” Moore said about the president-elect.
Moore also had harsh words for Democrats who failed to appeal to middle-America or read the feeling of the voters.
Pointing to Clinton losing by 11,000 votes in Michigan, Moore explained how "ninety thousand Michiganders voted for every office and every ballot proposal on both sides of the ballot and refused to vote for president."
“They couldn’t vote for Trump,” he added. “They knew that was wrong, but they were not going to participate in what they saw as a system that had left them forgotten and at bay.”
While Moore commended both president Barack Obama and Clinton for “doing the right thing” and accepting Trump’s win, he said, “their duty is different from ours.”
“We are going to resist, we are going to oppose. These demonstrations you’re seeing on the streets, when it’s in places like Milwaukee and Nashville, they’re not exactly Berkeley and Ann Arbor,” he said.
“This is going to continue, tonight and the next night and the next night. And all he has to do is start nominating Rudy Giuliani as attorney general, and things like that ― or his Supreme Court. This is going to be a massive resistance.”
