Peter Greste slams Aust's metadata laws

Australian journalist Peter Greste has slammed the country's metadata laws saying it has a 'chilling effect on journalists'.
Phone and internet records will be stored for two years from 2017 under the legislation, while journalists face two years in jail for reporting on a warrant system.
The government says journalists are not the 'target' but Mr Greste says the laws are unclear.
Mr Greste added that a 'public interest advocate' under the laws, will never get a clear picture as they operate in secret, and will be unable to protect whistleblowers.
