The message carried by the  photography pigeon can be Lies.  Lies told to support  the  powers that would destroy a country  just  because of their geopolitical aims and the games they are playing.  Games that are about controlling  the world's resources. Keeping them in Western hands. 

The fact that this is a Aunty Beeb story should raise BS antennae . The Beeb, after all is a well known propaganda arm of the West's War Arms.  

We also have to remember that Britain's foremost war photographer, Don McCullin  was prevented from covering his country's Falklands War by his own government.  A war painter was sent instead . Western  war narratives are tightly controlled. Always . The were most certainly controlled after the Vietnam War where McCullin made his reputation. Looking back at his work with a more critical  and aware eye  I can see how it mostly worked within  the set parameters of Power.  Power that talks about human rights and human interest while killing more  and more humans .Giving them Freedom  by taking away their lives. 

The quote about  the Russians makes my hackles rise.  The greatest makers, exporters and  users of the most lethal arms are Western Powers  like his own country. The old War Horse has lost more than just the speed of his movments. 

Britain's foremost war photographer Don McCullin has explained his decision to enter Syria, nine years after announcing his retirement.

The 77-year-old spent a week in Aleppo, where he came under sniper fire as he tried to take pictures of the conflict.

McCullin told BBC Radio 4's Front Row he "hadn't seen any real evidence of what's been going on" in Syria, so he decided to take one final assignment.

His aim, he added, was to show the human toll of the fighting.

The photos, published in The Times newspaper on Thursday, focus on families displaced by what he described as "constant heavy shelling".

One picture, replicated at the top of this page, depicts a group of children hunting for water supplies on the streets of the war-ravaged city.

"We don't need any more scenes of snipers and rebels firing over brick walls," he told the BBC. "What we really need is the human interest side of this story."

"The great tragedy is that, if only the people in Russia knew that their taxes were going on making these dreadful weapons that were killing innocent people here, they might think twice about their leadership."
