The June 2025 war ended the illusion of invincibility. Iron Dome, Arrow, David’s Sling, none held. From the opening salvo, Iranian missiles rained down and the “impenetrable” wall cracked. THAAD stopped only 60%, 201 of 574 rockets, leaving Tel Aviv, Haifa, and other cities hit.
The real crisis wasn’t accuracy, it was exhaustion. Over 150 THAAD missiles fired, $12M apiece, gone in less than two weeks. That’s more than a quarter of the U.S. reserve, drained into the Mediterranean sky. At that burn rate, America cannot sustain a month-long fight.
