US and Israeli Plan to Dominate UN

Ever since 1984, the US State Department, by federal law, has kept tabs on the voting records of the member states of the United Nations. The administration of Ronald Reagan, feeling burned by a number of UN votes that were lop-sided in opposition to US policies, most of them concerning Israel, wanted to keep a score sheet of countries opposing the United States in the General Assembly and Security Council in order to punish them by withholding American economic and military assistance.  The State Department’s latest annual report, titled «Voting Practices in the United Nations 2014», was issued in March 2015. The report for 2015 is anticipated in March of this year. Section VI of the report focuses on the voting patterns of member states on resolutions concerning Israel. Although the United Nations once regarded Israeli policies with the hostility they truly deserve in the international arena, the UN, under Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, has used institutional and bureaucratic maneuvering to ensure that Palestinian interests come second to those of Israel.  It is also the case that the United States has, with Israel looking over its shoulder, opposed new member states of the United Nations in order to keep to a bare minimum the number of countries that support Palestine and oppose US and Israeli policies. Washington considers «rogue» states and «hostile regimes» anathema to its program of controlling the agenda at the UN.  Washington has accomplished its mission of ensuring that no more problematic members join the UN by threatening to cease American aid to countries that have or have contemplated recognizing the independence of countries such as Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Somaliland, and Western Sahara, thus closing the door to membership in the UN or any of its specialized agencies. The United States values most of the «Western European and Other Group» members of the UN because of their constant support for the United States, especially on matters concerning Israel and Ukraine. Most have voted over 90 percent of the time with the United States. Israel is the only member state that has voted 100 percent of the time with the United States, even opposing the resolution calling on the United States to lift its economic boycott of Cuba despite the fast that Israel has engaged in tourism and other commerce with Cuba for decades. At the other end of the spectrum are Syria and North Korea, which have never voted along with the United States on any resolution red-flagged by the United States for punitive action. Voting 90 percent or more with Washington were Andorra; Australia; Belgium; Canada; officially «neutral» Austria, Finland, Sweden, and Switzerland; Denmark; France; Germany; Greece; Italy; Liechtenstein; Luxembourg; Monaco; Netherlands; New Zealand; Norway; Portugal; San Marino; Spain; and the United Kingdom. Closely following behind are Ireland at 88.9 percent; and Iceland at 81.8 percent. The central and eastern European UN members that are also members of NATO are no less sycophantic to the wishes of the United States. Voting 90 percent and over with the United States were Albania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. Non-NATO members Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia also voted with the Americans 90 percent of the time. These were followed closely behind by Moldova and Georgia at 88.9 percent, Macedonia at 85.7 percent, and Croatia at 77.8 percent. The United States and its allies are intent on Kosovo becoming a member of the UN since it can also be expected to provide a knee-jerk vote in support of the United States on the command of Washington. Japan, like the NATO countries, voted 90 percent with Washington on issues considered vital to the United States. What the Americans and Israelis do not want is a contingent of naysayers in the UN. Currently, the European country casting the most votes in opposition to US policy is Russia, which voted with the United States only 28.6 percent of the time. Others not voting in complete accord with the Americans were Armenia at 54.5 percent, and Azerbaijan and Belarus at 50 percent. It is no coincidence that Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Belarus have faced joint George Soros/Central Intelligence Agency «themed revolution» upheavals, such as those which have occurred in Ukraine, Moldova, Serbia, and Macedonia. China has voted with the United States only 11.1 percent of the time. The United States is most reluctant to see any more independent countries from the so-called «Non-aligned Movement» since these are the most prone to vote against the American interests in the UN. Iran and India voted with the United States a mere 10 percent, Pakistan 12.5 percent, Cuba 18.2 percent, while Egypt and Zimbabwe voted with the US only 20 percent, and Algeria and Gabon 25 percent of the time. Voting with the Americans at 33 percent of the time were Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Gambia, Kuwait, Nicaragua, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Venezuela, and Yemen; at 30 percent of the time Bangladesh, Brunei, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka; 25 percent of the time Laos; and 27.3 percent of the time Oman and Uzbekistan. The UN Under Secretary General for Political Affairs is Jeffrey Feltman, a doctrinaire American neoconservative whose fingerprints are all over the «Arab Spring» rebellions that ousted the governments of Libya, Yemen, and Egypt, and that have plunged Syria into a bloody civil war. The price to be paid for UN membership is undying loyalty to Washington. Looking at the last «non-aligned» nations to be admitted to the UN we find overwhelming support for Washington: Timor-Leste at 80 percent and South Sudan at 75 percent.  The United States can always rely on almost total support from three Pacific island states that are tied to the United States through so-called «Compacts of Free Association». The Marshall Islands voted with Washington 91.7 percent, Palau 90.9 percent, and Micronesia 91.7 percent of the time. During the Cold War, the Ukrainian and Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republics (SSRs) never voted differently from the Soviet Union in the UN. The Pacific states of the Marshalls, Micronesia, and Palau serve the same purpose as the old «SSRs» in the UN: to ensure that the United States is never in lone opposition to any resolution in the General Assembly.  The only way for the United Nations to dig itself out from under the repressive jackboot of Washington and its co-conspirators in Jerusalem is for the Russian sphere and the non-aligned movement to see more of the de facto independent countries in their respective domains gain membership in the world body. That can start with UN membership for the self-declared countries of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, recognized by at least four current members of the UN. There should also be pressure to recognize the independence of and admit to the UN as full members Palestine and the Holy See, both official UN observer states. In order to represent the interests of Orthodox Christianity, the Republic of Mount Athos, a monastic republic within Greece that has semi-autonomous status, should be admitted to the UN to protect, along with the Holy See, the interests of Christians around the world. It would also help the plight of Christians to admit the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, which currently has guest status at the UN; the Coptic government-in-exile of Egypt; and the Principality of the Pontinha in the Atlantic, a self-proclaimed successor state to the realm of the Knights Templar.  Governments-in-exile that should be permitted to join the UN include those of Biafra, Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, West Papua, Cabinda, Republic of Serbian Krajina, the Republic of Ambazonia, the Koma Civakên Kurdistan (Kurdish state in eastern Turkey), South Yemen, the Republic of Azawad, the Republic of South Maluku, Chagos Islanders-in-exile, the Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam, Lakotah Sioux Nation, the government of the Kingdom of Hawai’i, and the Ukrainian Salvation Committee. These governments have «special scores» to settle with the United States, Israel, and many of their UN allies. Currently, the UN represents only special interests of multinational corporations and a few vocal pressure movements such as those beholden to Israel and George Soros’s varied non-governmental organizations like the Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and the International Organization of Migration. The UN must open its doors to other members in order to truly represent the peoples of the world. Opening the doors of the UN would provide some counterbalance to the newest delegations from Montenegro, Timor-Leste, and South Sudan who cannot spend enough time licking Uncle Sam’s boots.
