A former A-League keeper and soccer commentator has called for Adam Goodes to be "deported" over the booing controversy.
Griffin McMaster, a former Brisbane Roar and Wellington Phoenix keeper currently playing for Heidelberg United in the Victorian league, attacked the former Australian of the Year on Twitter – before promptly deleting the tweet.
Goodes has been booed by crowds at several stadiums where he has played with his team, the Sydney Swans. Earlier in the week Swans chairman Andrew Pridham labelled the booing racist.

"If you're booing Adam Goodes I've got bad news for you," Pridham told Fairfax Media. "You're a racist. It's not acceptable when the only conclusion you can come to is that there is racism involved in the way the crowds are treating Adam."
Goodes and his teammates have been severely affected by the continued booing, and the player himself has taken several days off training to recover, while speculation is rife he is considering retirement.
The club confirmed late on Wednesday that Goodes will not play against the Crows this weekend.

McMaster apologised for the tweet on Twitter, but continued to defend his views to several users of the social media network who tweeted at him.
McMaster's club announced on Wednesday evening they would drop the player from their squad, due to compete in the Football Federation Australia Cup on Wednesday night.
In a statement Football Federation Australia said it "condemns the content of the tweets sent from Griffin McMaster's personal twitter account".
"Football Federation Australia (FFA) applauds Heidelberg United Football Club for standing goalkeeper Griffin McMaster down from tonight's Westfield FFA Cup match following a series of offensive tweets this afternoon."
