This would be a great time to either agree to whatever terms we can get to end this war, or do the “walk away” plan, now. Whether this is just rhetoric or empty threats, only time will tell, but the fact that the Iranian news agency is openly talking about an expansion of the war into the Red Sea, Bab Al Mandab, in retaliation for what Israel is doing in Lebanon, should be taken seriously. President Trump says that he has an agreement from Israel to stop the war in Lebanon, but words mean nothing. We’ll see if it translates into action on the ground. But it’s really hard for me to see how Israel, after Netanyahu in the morning declared he would strike into Beirut, is suddenly going to stop and go home. We’ll see, but no matter what, we need to get this war over with, today.
