The world is not becoming anti-Western.
It is becoming post-Western.
That is a much deeper wound.
To be hated still centers you.
To be bypassed is worse.
To be worked around is worse.
To be treated as one power among many after centuries of proclaiming yourself the horizon of history is worse.
That is the humiliation hiding inside this moment.
Not instant collapse.
Demotion.
