Every time the US wants to invade a country for resources and exploitation, it wants to justify its actions with fake stories about how its concerned for “human rights.”
These stories are completely fabricated or spun in a way that drums up public support for US invasion and occupation. Its the only time the US government acts on what the public is thinking - after creating its own narrative of course.
How does the US keep getting away with it?
As the US government answers to its capitalist rulers, its not hard for capitalists to influence the media - they own it! Using its network of pro-war media outlets, the push for war becomes a blitzkrieg of jaw dropping headlines, with atrocity vendor journalists fabricating stories to earn paychecks and imperial prestige.
