Canada, Australia, and Britain have officially recognized the State of Palestine.
On the surface, this appears like a historic diplomatic turning point. But the subtext reveals the hypocrisy of the so-called “international community.”
These governments rush to condition recognition on reforms, “security guarantees,” and the exclusion of Hamas, as if the blood of Gaza’s martyrs can be erased from the equation, or as if Palestine’s sovereignty can be handed out like a donor’s grant tied to fine print.
