Yedioth Ahronoth quietly admits the Gaza war’s math doesn’t add up. At the invasion’s start: Hamas 24,000, Islamic Jihad 6,000. Months later, Israel claims 15,000 Hamas fighters killed, yet Israeli intelligence in May still puts Hamas at 24,000 and Jihad at 6,000.
That means months of siege and bombing have moved nothing. Either the kill counts are fiction, the targeting is worthless, or the resistance can regenerate faster than the IDF can destroy. It’s a treadmill, bleeding Tel Aviv’s economy, manpower, and credibility while the battlefield stays frozen.
